This recipe came about when I was hosting my parents for Canadian Thanksgiving. I was doing a Whole30 and wanted to offer something "desserty" that was also compliant. This apple crisp is extremely easy and so, so, so tasty.

Ingredients

2 cups apples, chopped

1 pitted date

3 T pecans

1 tsp collagen (optional)

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ginger

1/4 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Put the chopped apples in a baking dish, preferable one with a glass or ceramic lid. Sprinkle the apples with your spices and salt. Throw the nuts, coconut, date, oil and optional collagen (I just like putting that stuff in everything) in a food processor or magic bullet and run until it's blended. Place it on the apples and bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes. Allow it to cool enough to eat and enjoy!
