Kombucha

I love kombucha! But, buying it can get expensive fast. At nearly $5 per bottle it adds up. Making it at home costs just a fraction of that! I'm always talking about how we need to eat more fermented foods to improve out gut health. Kombucha is fermented tea and will do just that. Start slow. If you have a highly sensitive stomach or lots of bad bacteria, adding all of the good stuff might get you in a bit of trouble right off the bat.

Rather than explaining how to brew kombucha here, I'm going to send you over to The Kitchn because they have excellent instructions!

But, I will leave you with a picture of my Kombucha Counter. And because each "mother" SCOBY creates a "daughter" every time a batch is brewed, I often have extras hanging around so feel free to ask me for one!
