Do you have a sweet tooth like me? I love all things sugar, which means I have to be extra careful about what I choose to eat. Have you seen what's in a standard peanut butter cup?! Click here for the ingredient list. I don't want those ingredients in my body or yours. And it turns out you can make them yourself fairly easily and with ONLY FIVE INGREDIENTS! So, here you go. And if out figure out how to not eat them all in one day, let me know!
Melt the following (in the oven, microwave, stove top or in the sun):
Bowl 1:
1/2 c peanut butter (read the label and look for peanuts or peanuts and salt ONLY, you can also use any other kind of nut or seed butter)
2 T coconut oil
1 T honey
Dash of salt (if the nut butter is unsalted)
Bowl 2*:
2 T coconut oil
2 T honey
After this bowl is melted, add 3 T of high quality cocoa
*Alternatively you can melt your favorite chocolate
Evenly distribute the contents of bowl #1 (after it has been well mixed) into 6 muffin liners in a muffin tin and place in freezer for 15 minutes. Then, evenly distribute the chocolate topping, sprinkle with salt and place back in the freezer until solid (which, typically takes another 15 minutes).
This recipe is part of my Skillshare course, For Chocolate Lovers Only. Go check it out for more gluten and dairy free chocolate-y goodness!
